Adison Hicks had three hits and three RBIs to back the pitching of Caitlyn Powers in Calloway County’s 15-0 win over Trigg County in Murray Friday.

Calloway put crooked numbers on the scoreboard in every inning with the contest called with two outs in the fourth inning due to the mercy rule.

All three of Hicks’ hits were singles, and the Lady Laker junior scored three times.

Calloway scored three runs in each of the first two innings, four in the third, and plated five runs in the fourth.

Grogan and McReynolds each had two hits and two RBIs for the Class 2A state champion Lady Lakers who improved their season record to 14-6.

Caitlyn Powers struck out seven, walked one, and allowed just two hits.

Trigg County’s hits were a single by Lillie Cortner and a double by Rylee Hendricks. Playing their second game in nine days, the Lady Wildcats dropped to 4-9

Trigg County will travel to Crittenden County Monday for a district makeup game.
