Todd County Central High School senior Maddie Williams fanned eight of the nine batters she faced and threw a three-inning perfect game Thursday to lead her softball squad to a 15-0 home win over Fort Campbell.

Williams delivered strikes on 34 of her 49 pitches. The only out recorded that didn’t come via strikeout was a ground ball putout she assisted during the second at-bat of the contest.

Offensively, the Rebels drew 11 walks and took advantage of three Falcon errors. Junior Samantha Case led off the bottom of the first inning with a bloop single to center field, and eighth-grade courtesy runner Aubrey Perrone scored on a wild pitch to give TCCHS (6-5) the lead for good.

Fort Campbell, which remains winless after nine games played in 2021, held Todd Central to just four runs in the first two innings but lost control in the third inning when the host Rebels struck for 11 runs to end the matchup via mercy rule. Madelyn Slaughter scored on one of eight FCHS wild pitches to bring the game to a close in Elkton.

Case, who went 2-for-2 with a double, RBI, and a run, was the only player with more than one hit. Abby Williams walked three times and scored a pair of runs. Slaughter filled up the stat sheet, going 1-for-1 with three runs, two walks, a run, and an RBI to round out Todd’s offensive leaders. Haylee Vass and Addison Woodall each scored twice as well.

Todd County Central will have a few days off before resuming its homestand April 26 against Hopkins County Central, while Fort Campbell will be searching for its first win when the Falcons host Clarksville Kenwood (TN) at noon on April 24.
