The Hopkinsville tennis team made the long trip to Dixon on Tuesday but only got to play three matches for its trouble, losing the only boys’ matchup and dropping all three on the girls’ side to host Webster County.
The Trojans’ Vincent Major took a tight match with James Folz 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 1-0 (10-5). In the only girls’ singles match, Webster’s Sara Weishans defeated Elaine Baker 8-4.
Webster swept both doubles matches, with Maggie Jones and Allison Meisel def. Grasen Givens and Ella Brown 7-5, 6-3, and Abbie Michalek and Hannah Corbin def. Abby Moss and Elaine Baker 8-6.
