Caldwell County’s softball team rallied from a 7-0 deficit to twice tie Madisonville-North Hopkins.

The Lady Tigers knotted the game at 8-8 in the fifth inning and again at 11-11 in the top of the seventh.

However, Madisonville scored on a one-out RBI single by Brenna Sherman in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with a 12-11 victory Thursday in Madisonville.

The Lady Maroons (1-1 overall, 1-0 7th District) looked to have things in control when they built a 7-0 lead through three innings.

But Caldwell (0-2, 0-1) battled back to tie things by scoring seven times in the top of the fifth inning to make it 8-8.

Madisonville used a three-run homer by Alarryia Jones in the bottom of the sixth to go up 11-8, but Caldwell again came back to tie things with three runs in the top of the seventh.
