Hannah Sumner won her second event on the GO Junior Golf Northern Series Monday, and it was good enough to claim the points title for the 16-18 age division.
The incoming Lindsey Wilson freshman shot a round of 86 at the Owensboro Country Club that included a 41 on the back nine. She defeated Henderson County’s Dylan Elliott by 12 shots.
Sumner competed in six Northern Series events over the summer, winning two and finishing second in the other four.
Sumner, who graduated from Christian County in the spring, will try and pull off the double Thursday as she competes in the Southern Series championship at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
