The UHA Lady Blazers are headed to the championship bracket of the Apollo Summer Slam after winning their pool Friday evening. UHA advanced with wins over Whitesville Trinity and Frederick Douglas.
In their opening match Friday, UHA rebounded after dropping the first set to take the next two in their match against Whitesville Trinity. The Lady Blazers ended up winning 23-25, 25-9, and 15-7. Stats from the opening match:

In their final pool play match, the Lady Blazers battled their way to another three set win, taking down Frederick Douglas 25-23, 18-25, and 15-7. Individual stats from the match were:

With the two wins the Lady Blazers improve to 3-0 on the season. They move on to the championship bracket, and will take on Green County at 10:00 Saturday. The winner of that match will take on the winner of Henderson County and Apollo.
