Fort Campbell Girls Impress at Toyota of Hopkinsville Track Invitational

The Fort Campbell track and field team enjoyed standout performances in the girls’ hurdles and relay events on Saturday at the Toyota of Hopkinsville Invitational at the Stadium of Champions, while Austin Keeling posted top finishes in the long jump and triple jump on the boys’ side.  The Falcon girls came in second overall, while the boys were eighth.

Sisters Dextiana and Ty’Kevia Morris went one-two in the 100M Hurdles with times of 18.31 and 18.91, respectively, while Jahlyn Mincey took the top spot in the 100M with a 13.12, followed by Ayonna Daniels in third at 13.64.  Ty’Kevia Morris also finished third in the 300M Hurdles.

The relay team of Daniels, Mincey, Dominique Burrell and Ty’Kevia Morris finished third in the 4x200M with a time of 1:55.13, and claimed first-place in the 4x100M at 52.19.

The Falcon boys didn’t enjoy the same amount of success on the track as their female counterparts, but the relay team of Rafael Cerritos, DeAndre Jackson, Keeling and Monroe Thomas did run third in the 4x400M with a time of 3:41.84.

As usual, Keeling was strong in the Long Jump and the Triple Jump, taking the top spot in both with a 22-01.50 in the Long Jump and a 43-08.50 in the Triple.
