Todd County Central could not overcome a pair of close losses in their first two sets and dropped the third to Franklin-Simpson in a 3-0 loss Tuesday in Elkton.
The Lady Cats won 26-24 and 27-25 in the first two sets and took the third 25-15. Todd County, who came into the contest having won two of their previous three matches, continued to show their improvement in the loss. They dropped a 3-0 decision to Franklin-Simpson on Aug. 21 and didn’t score more than 18 points in any of the three sets.
Lucy Chester had six kills and seven aces in the match, while Kinley Reding added five kills and four aces, and Breanna Shumate had 15 blocks.
Todd County Central (3-10, 1-3) will host Hopkins County Central Thursday.
