University Heights Academy’s Kate Cansler turned in a 1:03.74 in the 400M Dash at the Class A Region 1 Championships on Saturday at Murray High, earning 1st place and qualifying for the state meet this weekend in Lexington. Cansler was satisfied with her run, particularly in light of the fact she’s a freshman in her first year of competition.
